Ever feel like you have so much potential but you get so overwhelmed by the level of information that’s available? If you can relate to this statement, then welcome to a blog of a struggling academic weapon in her final year of university. It has taken a lot to get here from tears, all-nighters, motivational prep talks, and many treats of dropping out. I know I am not alone!
Each week we will be exploring a new hot topic that is somehow related back to my coursecontent. We live in a world of information overload, so it can vary depending on my hyperfixation, but hopefully we can all learn together.
I have a good interest in
business but love real-life examples of businesses and how they go from nothing
to the best with all the ups and downs involved. Who doesn't love a struggle
story... hello, it’s a major part of who I am.?
Backstory: I am from a little
place in a rural village in Offaly, which is home to maybe 750 people and a lot
of cows. I moved to Waterford for university 3 years ago and never looked back.
The biggest change wasn’t the charge in volume of people, the variety of
activities, or even the noise; the biggest change was no longer being landlocked. Waterford had 53 beaches on its coast, and shamefully, I have struggled
to see more than about 10.
This first blog is short and sweet, a simple sprinkle of the potential of topics. We will do a weekly dose of what the hyperfixation topic is and expand from there.
So, till next week, from one struggling academic weapon to another. Fairwell. :)
